Sail the Whitsundays
aboard one of Australia's most famous racing yachts!
What better way to
experience the thrill of sailing than on Apollo lll, a 55ft ocean racing
yacht with an extensive racing history. In 1982/83, after competing in
numerous ocean races worldwide, "Apollo lll" was used as a crew
training vessel for Alan Bond's successful American Cup Challenge!
You too can become part of
the crew of this performance racing yacht. Set the spinnaker, grind the
winches or take a turn at the helm. Sounds too active? Well you can just
sit back and relax in the warm tropical sunshine.
"Apollo lll" is
one of the very few vessels operating under a roving permit allowing us
access to all islands and anchorages. Being totally refurbished for
charter she caters for a maximum of 12 guests - just the right number for
a great holiday experience.
Hey! It’s not all sailing
You’ll have plenty of time for snorkelling amongst brilliant coral and tropical fish, sunbathing on deserted beaches, or hiking National Parks trails. ‘Apollo III’ offers an exciting and fun filled holiday.
"The pictures in the
brochure sold me, but the crew and the people made me want to come back
again soon" Kerrian Fournier. Brooklyn. NY. USA
"Thank you for
showing me the Whitsundays as they should be seen - with the freedom and
flexibility of sailing" Annabel Sullivan. Brisbane. Australia
